There is a light that never goes out
So, he is back. Well, I've decided it was time to find the old me and be the person I usually am. Sometimes it's just so hard when something you care for a great deal, just slips right out of your hands.
I guess we all have to make some hard decisions at some point of our life. For what's it worth, I still think of you a lot and I miss you every day.
Life is way too short. It's no point in going on being sad. I know I will eventually find what I'm looking for.
Halloween has passed. And even though I wasn't able to light a candle for my mom at her grave, I did it here. I miss you so much. You know that don't you? I know I'm having problems visiting you when I'm back home, but you know I still think of you every day, right? Hopefully someone else did light a candle for you in my place. For that I'm grateful. I'm beyond words.
Mom, I miss you.
My dad came to visit the other week. It was so nice seeing him again. Haven't seen him since August. We had a nice time. I'm kinda glad I moved back to Sweden when I did. I miss London almost every day. But it's so much nicer to be close to the small family I've got.
Fragezeichen!
Everything is very uncertain at the moment. Things are complicated without being complicated. Things change, feelings change, people change.
I can't really say anything right now. Right now, I'm a bit upside down, inside out and back and forth.
I know things will work out. I'm gonna be optimistic, until the day I get hit by a ten ton truck! :)
I know, if you want something really bad, and it's supposed to be. You'll get it in the end.
I'll be back. I promise. There are so many other blogs out there for you pleasure.
I'm very happy YOU stopped by. I promise I'll be back.
For now...
Cheers!
Head over heels...
Bounce you... Seal... ;)
I had a great weekend. Actually it couldn't have been more perfect. I could probably write a very very thick book about it. Who knows, some day I might. What can you say, except, I'm head over heels... *sigh*
Two weeks to go. Then I'm off for my vacation! :D
If you were here...
If you wanted to go to this concert, you could. I don't think they sold all the tickets, and that must be a first. You always read about Kent selling out every concert in a matter of hours. This time, nope! I guess people saw them play on the first leg of the tour.
I'm glad I went. We had a great time. We hooked up with Per, Putte & Hasse with family from Mobile Homes. We also bumped into Maja and her flatmate. Don't remember her name, only the fact she was crazy! We walked back to Slussen and had a beer after the concert.
Oh, the concert. It was ok. Not great, but ok. I think I might have said that before! ;) They played a lot of old songs. Even Kallt kaffe. That's a bit surprising. Overall, 3 out of 5. I had a good time. They even played a new song. Don't remember what it's called. Oh, yeah. "Håll ditt huvud högt".
Actually, I'm just looking forward to my vacation now. Only a few weeks to go! :)
The Voice of K5...
My God! The penguins are taking over!! This is what I found when I arrived at work today!
And I also discovered I've been REPLACED!
Kick (me into action, with a slip of the tongue)
I went to this great party last night. It was finally time for the Megahype releaseparty for Lowe's Kino International and Mobile Homes single Close.
What a great turnout. A lot of people showed up. :) And a few guys down in the basement here at work, well, they've seen better days! ;)
There was of course one person missing... The night would have been perfect if you were here.
Oh, I've gotta mention something else. Leo sent med a few songs from the upcoming Rupesh Cartel album. DAMN!! It's great! It will be released on Megahype very soon. I hope! :) I'm gonna scream from the top of my lungs when it's released! Look out for it! :)
I'm also looking forward to the new Alkaline Trio album, Agony & Irony. I've heard a few clips from it, and you can too. Just go to the iTunes store and search for it. :) It sounds very promising. It will be released on the first of july.
All I do right now, that is waiting for tomorrow... I am so looking forward to it. :) And let's all cross everything possible for the Swedish national team tonight! Ok? :)
Clavicle...
Nice words. I've had a fantastic week. That's all I've got to say. :)
Weak week
Another weekend has passed. Rather slow, and quick. I'm really looking forward to the next weekend. :)
However, this weekend, I got to celebrate Klings 35 birthday at Hannas Krog (I hope you had a great evening, mate!) and I was also at Hans in Mobile Homes house. Today was a really hot day. Leo was going to shoot the new West End Girls video, and he asked me if I wanted to tag along. I did, and we went to Hasses house, about 30 km outside Stockholm. Isabell and Emelie are really cool. I think the result will be brilliant. This time it's gonna be a duet with Magnus Carlsson from Weeping Willows. If you're into music, you probably know West End Girls do PSB songs. And this time it's What have I done to deserve this. Swedish P3 will add the song this week. Lookout for the video.
All I can say now, is I'm really really looking forward to next weekend!!! :)
Agony & Irony
It's been a year now. Yes, on May 28, 2007, I woke up at the Hounslow office in London. I went to Heathrow and embarked on my journy to Stockholm via Oslo. I landed at Arlanda late the same evening.
I guess you could say I celebrate my 1 year anniversary today. One year living in Sweden. Man it's been a short year. It feels like it's been a few months.
I remember my and Dannis party at the Rowbuck in Chiswick like it was yesterday. It's almost unreal.
I got to spend a very nice birthday with a great bunch of people at Spitfire on saturday. Thank you all for showing up, and thanks for the great gifts. :) I am blessed with some great friends. It's kinda hard to compete with the ESC. ;)
Again, thank you very much! :)
Oh, I forgot where I was going with this title. The Irony is I'm going back to London tomorrow for a meeting in Chiswick park. Kinda funny. It takes place almost exactly one year after my departure. Pretty ironic. The departure for the flight tomorrow morning is at 7:05 AM. That's EARLY! We're going back later the same afternoon. It's gonna be a long day. But at least I get to see some of my friends tomorrow as well. I hope to get a chance to have lunch with Josefin too. :)
And I'm really looking forward working with the new Mobile Homes single and Lowe album. Both are due for release really soon. Make sure you check them out!
Stop me if you think you've heard this one before!
I went to Leos place last night. First it was hockey night, and by the way, I'm still undefeated! ;) I even managed to beat Doc Bloom!
We watched the Champions League final. From the bottom of my heart. A big congrats to Manchester United. With a bit of luck, they managed to win the game. A very exciting match actually.
Well done. :) If the win isn't going to London, it's far better it goes to Manchester, any day of the week! ;)
The best team in Europe, 2008.
The Winner takes it all... ;)
Last night, after working hard with the Megahype releases, we decided it was time for NHL08. I CRUSHED LEO!
Just look at this picture:
Shots on goal: 2
Faceoffs won: 2
Time on attack: 30 seconds.
Total gametime: 1.03.
Score? It's 2-0 to me! :)
I had a fab night. Leo won... Well, he didn't win one single game. I rule! ;)
I could say I'm sorry
We went to Obaren last night. Universal Poplab had some kind of releaseparty for their new album. It was fun. I went home way too late. My plan was to check out Alice In Videolands releaseparty at Debaser Slussen too, however, I got stuck at home with a severe headache. Blom came over and we watched SWE-SUI. And that sucked! Last tuesday... Shit, I'm doing this in the wrong order. But I can't be botherd to do anything about it. Haha... Well, we went to a party at Imperiet. They have a new "skybar" there. It's WAY TOO HIGH for me. We went there, and had a beer. The party was packed with people working in swedish televison. Don't really know that many outside the K5 sphere. But it was fun.
Tonight we're off to Patricia (I think) to celebrate Celi's birthday. I'm very tired and I'm considering having a completely alcoholfree evening. I can't do this anymore. Wait a minute. I've never been able to do this. ;)
That's not the worst part. I'm not hungover. I've just haven't had enough sleep this week. The worst part is, I'm doing my laundry tomorrow, starting at 9 am. That sucks. However, it's not like it's the end of the world. The end of the world, now that would be... The end of the world!
Scheisse
Now, I could do this in two completely different ways. I could write a long story about disappointment, sorrow and a touch of pain too. But I'm not going to do that. I won't do that due to one single reason. It was expected. I kinda already new. I didn't want to believe it, but I'm not stupid... Sorry, I AM a bit stupid, but I'm not dumb. Man, I could go on forever correcting myself. I'm not gonna do that either. To put it in writing once and for all. I AM disappointed. I am a bit upset I spent so much time on this matter. And people never seize to amaze me. What they do, why they do things and how they do things. No, this matter is now closed. I know I'm gonna lose something that used to be close to me, but in the end, as it turned out, it wasn't really the other way around. If that was the case, I wouldn't be writing this down. Just to proove to myself, I'm actually fine with it. Which I am.
So, what I'm gonna write instead is I've had a few great days back home. I've been on the countryside, travelling like a bat out of hell in a Subaru Impreza. Let me tell you, the adrenaline was pumping. I was a bit carsick when I left the car. But it was nice. I've met some of my old friends, just hung out and didn't really do anything. It's been raining for 3 straight days. And as usual there are a lot of people I've disappointed too. I'm very very sorry. But I'll probably be back in a few months time. Perhaps even sooner. We'll see.
Today I've been to Boost Studios. Tobbe took me there. It's located pretty much just in the middle of nowhere. But it was great. I got a sneak preview of KOR's upcoming album. VERY VERY good. I really really enjoyed it.
Lurbjörn in the controlroom at Boost! Happy as ever! :)
Tonight we went to Harry's, and you know what. I had a great time.I bumped into some really nice people too. I couldn't have been luckier tonight actually. And oh, I kinda taught Fredrik something. Something that'll corrupt him for ever. Sorry about that....
*BUSTED!!* Yes, he's gonna leave a trail of boats. I've taught you well, my young padwan! ;)
So for once, to summarize this "going back home" experience, it wasn't that bad. As usual, time wasn't on my side, but I'll be back.
Shit, just realized I haven't posted the pic of our latest machine at work. Check it out. I think it looks very cool.
And the coffee isn't that bad either....
Cough/Cool
Well, today I met a celeb. ;) I actually met Robert. Yep, Robert from Boxer. I guess that doensn't really say much... But it was cool. Kinda. He was very nice. And oh, he does exist! But his name is not Robert.
I just came to the conclusion, this is rather pointless. I think I'm off for bed instead!
Mein herz macht bum!
I don't really have that much to say today. However, it's impossible for me to ignore two things.
1. HV71. Down by two, getting their shit together and equalizing. Tomorrow they're playing Linköping at home, and they have a good chance of getting the series to 3-2....
2. Patrik Ingelsten! A perfect hattrick. Kalmar FF is on the rise.
And oh... I almost forgot. I'm going to help out the guys at Megahype with promotion. I'm crossing to the other side. ;)
Check out my first project.
Lowe - A 1000 miles
Upcoming projects are The Mobile Homes and Rupesh Cartel. I'm stoked! :)
Tanz mit mir!
It's been a great week. Ice hockey on K5 (which means less voices to process), a nice concert with Lowe at Obaren and a few beers with some of the guys from work. Oh, Anna was also here for a visit. I don't think I've seen her since new year's. We went to KGB where they were dancing to the same russian songs as always! Not her cup of tea! ;) Today we spent most of the time at Megahype, editing the songtracks from the upcoming Mobile Homes record. This week will be a short one. We're off for a conference at work on thursday, and Björn will cover for me. Still, I have to take care of everything until thursday. Tomorrow will be a quite busy day. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the guys from London again! :)
Stars!
Now what am I supposed to do with this? I got this today. Well, I'm supposed to display it with pride, and I guess that's what I'm doing, right now:
Thank you John. ;)
Adrian
Today I met some really cool people. If you're into St Etienne, you really should check out Papercut. I met them at Megahype, where they were recording some vocals for the song Adrian. Man, if I still had my old job, I'd be playing the shit out of it. Check them out! :) I just can't get the chorus out of my head. Hans from Mobile Homes also came for a visit. Their new single (will be realeased by Megahype) is produced by Sami of Kent. And it might as well have been recorded back in -81. It's a very good popsong. Hans is also a very nice dude.
If I can't have you...
This is NOT what I wanted. It's not as cool as the black one. Janusch, this is your style, not mine! ;)
Ok, this wasn't something I just HAD to have. I just liked the looks of it. The black one that is. Unforunatlely they don't make this model anymore. Finiding a new one is probably impossible. I guess I'll have to settle for a second hand. OR I could change the mics on my Thunderbird IV. Hmmm. Like I said before, there is a huge difference in sound between Gibson and Epiphone. I was a bit surprised when I got my Gibson SG and compared it to the Epiphone Explorer and Epiphone Les Paul. Perhaps I should try to find a Gibson 335 Goth instead. This is pretty hard. They were only built under one single year. Well, if I'm patient, perhaps I'll get lucky! :) We'll see.
Snow has fallen in Stockholm. And come to think of it, it's actually snowing right now. However, it's way too warm outside. There won't be a white landscape today. I'm not to upset about that. It's the end of March damnit. ;)
Holy smoke!
See for yourself:
A Schecter Ultra Bass. Dual EMG Hz Bass humbuckers and an EMG active 2-Band EQ circuit power. I have no idea what that actually means, but it sounds cool... Right? The reason I bought it, well, I got it cheap and I just love the look of it. It's not a satin black finish, I know... But it's black! ;)
I havent decided what to do with my Thunderbird IV yet, chances are I might keep it. I know it's stupid, because I'll never use it. But it just looks so damn good. No, I'll probably keep it. One of these days, I'll have a home of my own, and then I'll hang it on the wall with the rest of them. For now, I'm gonna stay right where I'm at.
After the slow rise from the dead, we went to Aftonbladets TV-pris gala at Café Opera. Must have been this tuesday. Free food, free drinks and a lot of celebrities. It was... Nice I guess. Now I'm actually off work for a few days. I was planning a trip down to Kalmar. Now, that's not going to happen. All the trains are full, the flights are way too expensive, and the busses are also loaded with people. All of them got the idea to travel, WAY before me. Nah, I'll stay here and just relax instead. I was even checking for rental cars, but they only had very expensive ones left.
