I rage, I melt

It took me like forever to get to work today. Aparently there was a lot of wind and snow last night. That made it hard for the tube. Though it can hardly be a surprise there's snow falling in February.

Me and Kling went to Stuarts house last night. I tried my quiz on them. They did rather well, considering it's content. Way too much electronic stuff for them.

I was supposed to get Fredrik up for a visit this weekend, however, he called me and told me his girlfriend has liquid pouring out of every opening of her body. That sounds pretty nasty, and I'm kinda glad they're staying at home. Let's hope she'll recover soon.

The day before you came...

It was interesting. Now it's just like it was before. And I'm rather lost here. I don't know what to do. I'll wait it out I guess. Again... Ah well, it'll work out somehow. You wouldn't have come here with an agenda, would you? Nah, you're nothing like that, right?

I managed to tune my Les Paul yesterday. That's not very special you might say. It's a Floyd Rose tremolo. It's fucking hard to tune it. When I finally got the spring tension right, it was a breeze. I was rather pleased with myself. Then I watched Björn Ferry get the Biathlon gold. And curling. Curling could be one of the greatest sports on tv, EVER! I love it! And soon, there will be hockey. I'm looking forward to it!

Today's pic:

And this one is up for sale! Get it while it... Um cold?

It's a very nice Gorenje... Lovely to cook on actually... And it could be yours!

Death...

We went to Pet Sounds last night for the monthly music quiz. We finished 11th, and we're pretty happy about it. It was pretty hard. The previous winners Ultrachrome made a very nice quiz. The mash-up section was brilliant. We beat Shaolinköping, and that was our primary goal. Our second goal was to finish 15 or better, which we did.

This weekend is going to be interesting... Let's hope for the best.

Herz aus stein...

So this is the recap of 2009. According to Last.FM, this is what i played the most.

No surprises...

Dressed in black...

I went to see Nitzer Ebb and Depeche Mode last night at the Ericsson Globe Arena. I thought it was ok. The volume at the arena is a bit strange. I've never been to a concert at that place before. There was this lack of heavy bombastic beats and the experience was a bit lowered by the fact I'm no longer this hardcore Depeche Mode fan. I've already said enough about my impression of their latest release.

Nitzer Ebb kicked off by doing Murderous! That was a pretty good opening song, I think. We got Shame, Lightning Man, Control, I'm here and a few newer songs too. I would have liked Join in the chant too. Still, you can't have it all.

Depeche Mode kicked off by doing In chains. From the new album. Enough said. I went for a piss during Wrong. That song is just... Wrong? I know people like it, however, I don't. I shouldn't say anything really. I've never written anything close to that anyway. Still, I'm a fan, and I'm entitled to speak my mind. I've said it before, I think Martin L Gore SHOULD feel the urge and pressure to write songs for an album. The fact that Dave got a few songs on the album isn't that great. Peace is probably the worst singel, ever to be released by any band of all time. Still, they did put on a good show. The sing-a-long after Dressed in black sent shivers down my spine. That was awesome.

HOWEVER... After the final song, the lights were still off, and after about a minute, they band came up on stage for the encore. They did three or four songs, and then they said goodbye again. The light were still all black, and we were hoping for another song perhaps. After about one minute, all the light were lit, and the anticlimax came over us like a wave of cold water. They shouldn't have waited for so long. Not very professional, I think. Do not lead us into false hope, please.

I met the guys from The Mobile Homes and Sami Sirviö of Kent. I also noticed Anto Corbijn in the audience just by the mixing console.

I should have gone with Dupont, Spetznas and Lowe to the afterparty where they hung out with Nitzer Ebb after the show. I got a severe headache, and I decided to go home instead.

It was a good night. It was also freezing cold when I walked home.

Stay together...

I went to Nalen last night to check out Brett Anderson in concert. The pre-act was a swedish dude (can't remember his name) who played guitar and had some sort of pre-programmed loops going on. Not very interesting, but very entertaining. He was actually rather funny.

Brett came on, strut his stuff like he used to. All in all, a very nice concert. However, I would have loved at least ONE Suede song. I can totally understand why he didn't do any old songs, but he made us believe he was going to. For his final song, he said something like: "Would you like to hear a really old song? I mean, really really old? Yeah? Ok, let's go back to 2007..." Then I knew he wasn't going to do any old stuff.

He is a true entertainer though. Even though I've only heard his first solo album, like once, I had a good time. This was also my first visit to Nalen. What a nice place for concerts! It's beautiful. And I'm going back there tonight for the Manifest Galan. We have one nomination in the category best electronic music. Can't remember the category, but it's something like that anyway.

This sunday, we're headed for Globen for the Depeche Mode concert. I'm more stoked about Nitzer Ebb actually. I've heard so many things about the current Depeche Mode tour, and all I can hope for is a nice surprise. The last album is the worst I've ever paid quite a lot of money for. Yes, I bought the limited edition boxset. I paid close to £90 for it. (Including shipping from Mute).

Brett Anderson, live at Nalen last night. He still got the moves!

A beautiful winter morning 2010.

And for some analogue inspiration, this is today's link.
Xeno and Oaklander!

Bulletproof... (This time...)

Here we go again. Where it'll lead, I have no idea. I'll just roll with it.

We went to Pet Sounds last night. The quiz was really hard, and there was way too much hiphop for us to handle. Ultrachrome won (of course) and we finished 12th. We lost out to Quiz Army and Shaolinköping, but we beat Mårten & The Slappers. (A really good team.)

Tonight I'm going to a party at Billy Bob. I think it'll be fun. That's where Leo shot the ************ video, just before christmas. And my synths are in it. I'll link it when it's released.

There are a few concerts coming up. Nitzer Ebb/Depeche Mode, next weekend, La Roux, Kent and IAMX.

Just got this link. Check it out.
Now this is a nicely designed PC!

And this picture, well, it's just another day at work.

The king is dead...

This day, back in 1935 a man who would be one of the most important people in the music business was born. His name was Elvis Aaron Presley. This man would have 18 chart-topping singles and his world wide album sales are estimated at over one billion units! Now that's impressive. As all of you know, he died in 1977. Elvis would have turned 75 years old this very day.

So, here's to you, The King of Rock'n'Roll. Happy birthday!

Twenty below...

So this is the first note of 2010. A new decade. Strange. I still remember the beginning of the last decade. I remember where I was, what I was doing and whom I spent it with. It's been 10 years. How did it all pass by so quickly? And how is it possible I've been living in Stockholm for 3 years this May?

And how did I end up being 37 with nothing to show for? Well, I guess just stuff happens.

This is walking home on the 1st of January 2010. It was really cold. I decided to talk a walk across the bridge from Skanstull at 2:45 in the morning.

I just love this picture. It's stuck on the wall at work. Great show by the way.

Tonight I'll be checking out the new Sherlock Holmes movie. I'm not that impressed with what Guy Ritchie has done the past few years. Still I've heard good things about this one.

So cold without a gun

It's really cold outside. Still, it's rather beautiful.

-13 C this morning. Very cold, but very beautiful.

One final note. May 2010 be a better year than 2009. All in all, it pretty much sucked bigtime.

Down on me...

Rain... Way too much rain. I was actually enjoying the cold winter landscape. However, the weather decided to go a bit mild, and it kept raining all through christmas day. Now there are just puddles everywhere.

Still, it's a bit more chilly today. And today, I'm going home. I'm looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight.

I've been through Johan Falk 1-6. 4 of them was actually pretty good. I've met just the amount of friends I could handle in 3 days time. As much as I wish I had more time here, I can't wait to go home. This is not my home anymore. And I don't think I'll be back here for quite some time. Can't find a reason except my father. And might as well visit me. Some things never change.

Last christmas...

It's christmas day. Last night was really nice. We went about 80 km north of Kalmar to Eva's cousins. I haven't seen them in 4 years. They're just as nice I remember them.

Now I'm tired. Didn't get any sleep at all. It's always a shame when you do something you normally wouldn't do, and then realize people are not what they claim to be, and also pretty nasty to other people. I know I shouldn't be surprised, still I am.

Good luck, where ever you may roam...

All stood still

I went for a long trip by bus today. Due to a big accident on the E4 just south of Stockholm, the trip took almost 2 hours longer than expected. We weren't moving for 45 minutes just south of Södertälje. As far as I know, a truck was blocking the south lane at Järna.

This is probably the first time I've heard positive cheers while pulling into Ringarum! We were all very hungry. One pyttipanna later, we continued our journey, and now I'm at my fathers place.

It's past midnight, and this actually makes it christmas eve. The day I seem to dread the most every year for some reason.

I'm kinda glad I'm not staying here for too long this time.

Merry Christmas mom. I miss you...

Winterlong

I spent the whole sunday assisting Leo during a videoshoot. I'm not allowed to say anything about it really, but it's gonna be great. Here's some pics from last night.

A pretty lousy picture of Leo and my SH 1 in Hasses car.

'

Per and Leo using a forklift. That guy will do anything to get the right shot! That looked a bit dangerous actually.

A cone... Not really important.

Two of the participants from last night, and the director.

Sometimes I think Leo is into wigs, in a really fetish way.

I noticed these strange creatures during a stroll at Söder the other day!

Winter struck Enskede Gård.

Last thursday, I finally got the shot. The Swineflu shot that is. I was rather surprised what it did to me. Insomnia, a painful left arm and numbness. I actually had to go home from work on friday. Now I'm doing better. I was really tired the whole weekend, hopefully it'll turn for the better now. And I won't be sick during x-mas.

A night to remember...

Just got home from Pet Sounds Music Quiz. The last of the season. There was a bit less teams participating tonight. 27 teams in total. I can't believe this really. I'm all speedy and stuff.

Tonight, we beat: Shaolinköping, Uptown Rockers FC, Mårten & The Slappers and Quiz Army to name a few.

We finished 3rd!!! It's actually amazing. We thought we didn't start out very good. It turned out, we did just fine.

3rd place in the geekiest quiz in Stockholm.

Stuart, Johan and Andreas... You are the shit!

Bikini Girls With Machineguns might not have won, but we did an amazing effort tonight!

World in my eyes...

I went down to Kalmar this weekend to pick up my stuff at Börjes place. He was kind enough to let me stash my synths'n'stuff there when I left for England. It's been four years in Feb. Can't believe it's been that long.

Fredrik was kind enough to go with me. It kinda sucks to have to drive all the way down there alone. And Oskar was kind enough to lend me his car.

The weather was a bit shitty. No visibility at all. Fog and rain. Boring...

Like I said. No sunshine what so ever.

And there was no stopping at Ringarum. I'll never do that willingly. Travelling via Silverlinjen, you don't really have a choise.

Fredrik thought this was pretty funny. MODE. Yes. He's into that band from Basildon.

Finally, a picture of a small yoga class at work. Doesn't seem that comfortable... But it's supposed to be good for you. What do I know?

Tonight we're off for Pet Sounds Music Quiz. The last one for this semester. We're aiming for top 10. (Like that'll happen...)

From S**t to salvation...

Yes! The promotional video for Nales upcomming album is here. And you WILL check it out here: Click me damnit!

Ferry cross the mersey...

Look who just dropped in at work. And yes, he was serving cold drinks. Or alcoholic beverages.

Gia, The Ferry hoak & Mr Beckung at the K5 office, friday, 20th Nov, 15:10.

Me, Kalle, Gustav, Alex and Emma went to Wirströms last night. We finished 2nd. We also came up with a new word. Pilsnerchic...

Bruise Pristine..

Me, Fredrik and Kalle went to see Placebo playing Annexet last friday. It was a great show! I've never seen them perform live before. I really enjoyed it.

Some shitty pics from the gig:

Still not completely recovered from being sick last week. I'm working on it. We finished 12th last time at the Pet Sounds Music Quiz. We're getting there. Tomorrow we're trying the one at Wirströms again. I'm not having dinner at that place, that's for sure.

Breathe...

No, it's kinda hard right now. I think I might be struck down by flu. Not sure though. I really don't hope so. Never got the chance to get my flushot. Since I'm told I might be in danger of the virus, I really should get the shot asap. However, it's not possible right now due to my current flu or whatever virus I've already got.

It is kinda scary, really...

I stayed at home thursday and friday. Today it's saturday and I'm not feeling any better. I remember last time I got the flu, it lasted for about a week and a half. I also got hit by pneumonia. That sucked.

I'm all out of food. Need to go to the store. I can't say I eat that much right now anyway, but the fridge is more empty than usual. To be honest, it is empty. For real.
