The Beginning is the end is the beginning.

We went to Sugarbar last night. Club Ultrafoxx hosted the Rupesh Cartel releaseparty for Anchor baby. Yes, finally it's here for the public to enjoy. You know where to get it. ;) The gig went great. I was dead tired from the long trip from Åre. I decided to leave the party at 2 am. Åre was fun. Snowmobiles rule! I know I'll probably never get one, but if I ever get a chance to drive one again, I will! And so should you! We had dinner at Hummeln on friday night. It's located pretty remote. They drove us up on snowmobiles, and it was pretty windy. The food was great, and the ride down the mountain was pretty scary, and cold!

Today I've splashed £1300 on new furniture, I've paid some bills and I've been a good boy and done my laundry. I can't believe I'm gonna do my last laundry here at Östermalm next sunday. The serious relocation is getting closer by the hour. I can't wait. I've decided to stay in Stockholm for now. I've bought a flat, and I think it'll be great. It was expensive, but it's gonna be worth it. I'm sure. The only thing that's missing is my stuff from Kalmar. I went there last week to pack everything. Thanks to Cim it's well wrapped in plastic. :) I expect the stuff to arrive a few days after my move. And I also need to get my stuff from my current flat over to my new address. It'll work out. Several people has told me they're willing to help me out. And that's just brilliant.

Tonight was the premier for the new Filip and Fredrik show Söndagsparty. I thought it was pretty good. Marilyn Manson and Jonas Gardell in the same sofa. That's pretty weird. And cool at the same time.

Some random pix from my shitty phone.

What?! Someone actually trashed the machine at work? Naah... It can't be.

This is the one they should have used! ;)

Aah, that's just great. Free paper. ;) Bobby is full of great ideas! :)

Smurfs invading Kungsgatan in Stockholm.

Like I said. More smurfs invading...

Like I also said, Bobby is full of great ideas! :)

What a brilliant idea! I'm considering inlisting their services when I'm leaving my current flat! :)

Stockholm during the first touch of spring... It's magnificent...

Hasse during the trip to Åre.

The view from the balcony at the hotel in Åre.

Going to the snowmobile experience.

No, there wasn't that much snow by the road. But just a few minutes away....

It looked something like this!

Alex on a snowmobile!

Thérèse, Hasse and Johan.

The next day, some went skiing. We tried hiking. Not very willingly...

The reason... You could see the end of time... It was very windy, you could see for miles, and I was longing for a shower.

We had lunch at fjällstugan.

The final shot of a sunny day in Åre.

Goo goo muck!

Tonight was quiz night a Pet Sounds Bar. There weren't that many teams around this time. I think it was 20-ish. However, we actually beat Shaolinköping for the first time. They finished 8th. We finished at 6th place. It was really hard tonight. But we did really good!

Next time will be even harder. Mårten & The Slappers won, finishing at 170/270 something points. Looking forward to it already!

Somebody told me...

Can't wait. I've so looking forward to the last ever Tinitus festival. Klinik and Portion Control. It's gonna be great. I hope. We'll see. At least I know I've got good company. :)

This sunday, I'll be on a bus headed for Kalmar. I need to pack up my stuff at my fathers place. And I need to make sure he will get a new kitchen table. The one he's got is mine, and I need it back. I'm gonna buy him a new one. I can't wait to get the keys for my new flat. My biggest investment so far. And probably the biggest one I'll ever make. Until that day I can actually buy a house. ;)

Now comes the fun part. I need to shop for new furniture. I'm gonna keep my bed and the kitchen table. The rest is going to be spanking brand new. I'm gonna try to keep the number of pieces in the flat to a minimum. I still need to find some way of storing my records. I'm thinking of designing it myself. Ah well... We'll see. It'll work out.  It's a good thing I've got skilled friends!

Rooftops...

Scary... I've been on the roof today. A small shoot for an upcoming case. We'll see if they think I'm goodlooking enough. I doubt it. Shit, just realized I forgot to shave today!

People are strange...

This is just... Well, I'm kinda lost for words really. See for yourself. I found this article in The Telegraph. Exactly what were they thinking?!

20 ridiculous complaints made by holidaymakers.

Fake plastic trees...

I know what day it is today. But I can assure you. This is no prank, no hoax, no lies or anything like that. This is the truth and nothing but the truth.

I just bought myself a flat. Yes I did. It's true, cross my heart and hope to die! That is if everything is working out the the bank and such, but there shouldn't be any problem. Just a few small pics, more will follow. And no, these are not my things...

Temptation...

Just got back from Prague. We did have a good time at Promax, even thought we didn't win anything at all. Red Bee won loads of stuff. Not very surprising, they were nominated in almost all of the categories. Something fishy going on? I don't know...

When we landed at Schiphol, we found out the plane was already boarding. The big billboard said "gate closing" even. However, we made it. I'm not sure about Johans bag though. All I got to eat during the entire trip was a few biscuits. All the bread had nuts in it. Couldn't eat it. That sucked.

Prague wasn't what I thought it would be. I'll just leave it at that. I don't think I'll be going back there again. However, I missed out on the greatest happening. One of my mates from work was approached by a pimp! From what I can tell from hearing this story over and over, it was hilarious. He actually had to pretend to be gay to get rid of the pushy pimp! I'm just annoyed I didn't get a chance to see that happening.

The apartment I was considering buying, well, it turned out into a bidding frenzy. The winning bid was far over what I consider worth paying. I'll try again. I don't think anyone will win their first fight in the bidding war. I'm not giving up. There will be a place for me out there somewhere.

And here's some pictures from Prague:

The Hilton burger. STAY AWAY!

I guess some people coundn't afford to send actual people to represent! ;)

Outside Hilton Prague.

Sunday morning...

And this is what i feel like.... This is what I look like... Every morning.

Me, having a bad hairday.

Defcon 1

All I have to say is... Go check it out...

Check it out
here.

We went to Pet Sounds this friday. We were really hoping to do better than 10th place last month. I'd like to add, last time, there was only three of us. Me, Johan and Patrik. This time, we had an entire team. My old buddy Kling joined Bikini Girls With Machine Guns. Andreas was also back from his IMPORTANT dinner... Well, the quiz was much harder than the one before. We managed to finish at 12th place out of 37 finishing teams, and we were quite happy with that result. We thought we'd end up somewhere at the bottom.

It was a great night. Next time, our goal is to beat Shaolinköping. Fat chance, I know, but everyone has got to have a goal, right?

I will follow...

U2 spent an entire week at The Late show hosted by David Letterman.

Top Ten Things U2 Has Learned Over The Years

Rising star...

Glasvegas played Debaser Medis this friday. I'm glad I didn't have a ticket. If that would have been the case, I would have missed Johans big birthday party. I'm glad I didn't.

Talking Glasvegas. The first hype of 2009, at least one I've picked up through the grapevine, is here.

These guys have a Joy Division-ish/Glasvegas-ish/Echo & The Bunnymen-ish sound. It's not too bad.
White Lies album "To lose my life" is avaible via Spotify.

I kinda like it. Check it out!

Sounds of the universe

I can't believe it. I just had to buy it....

On April 20, Depeche Mode releases the deluxe box of their brand new album Sounds of the universe. I'm not a big fan of the first single Wrong. Still, I just had to go for the £59 box deluxe edition of this record. *sigh* When will it end? Or where will it end?

The deluxe box edition contained so much more extras, I had to get that one. I was choosing between the normal limited 2 disc version and this one. This edition had demos of old songs. More behind the scenes material and some other stuff I can't remember. I'm such a nerd. I know I will eventually go out and get the "normal" limitied edition as well. I probably will. And the normal, normal edition too. I think I'll stay away from the vinyl. At Mute Bank, they had this offer, where you could buy all the editions at once. You saved like 4 quid. That's just stupid. If you have such an offer, you should be able to save more money than that. 4 quid! That's not even a pack of fags!

I was also gunning for 4 Fad Gadget albums on CD. Fireside favourites, Incontinent, Under the flag and GAG. I had to hold back, and for the first time (while ordering records online) I felt quite grown up. I made the decision NOT to get them all. I will save them for another day. I used to have all the Fad Gadget albums, 12" and 7". I think I kept the Singles collection. The rest is gone. I bought this great collection two years ago, and I don't really miss the other albums and singles at all. I'm too impatient to listen to 12 inch versions anyway.

If you don't own anything by Fad Gadget, this is all you need. This one is great! Get it here.

Sounds of the universe is named STUMM300. That's pretty impressive. Album No 300 released on Mute Records. I remember having the first 50 and I was quite proud of this collection. I also had the first 50 7 inches. No, I was missing a NON 7 inch... But I do remember having the rest!

I rememeber a time when a brand new Depeche Mode album was the greatest thing in the whole wide world. Now, it's more like... Ah well... Should be interesting... Things change. And so does people.

Wrong...

Yep, that is the title of the new Depeche Mode single. If you haven't heard it, you will find a clip at Youtube. Not gonna bother to give you the link even. The new much anticipated single from the Basildon trio was a huge disappointment. Well to me that is. Perhaps it's just my taste that has gone off into an entierly different direction. Still looking forward to the new album I guess. I know I'm gonna buy it. I bought Dave Gahan's second solo album last year. Or the year before that, can't even remember. I don't think I've listened to it yet.

Same goes for the new U2 single. It's not very good. I'm gonna check out the album anyway. It's just kinda weird. All the stuff you were so excited about. All the new records you used to look forward to. It's not very exciting anymore. I'm more obsessed with buying old stuff. Things change... Not aways for the better...

The Mobile Homes is doing a gig in Gothenburg this saturday. If you haven't seen them yet, go to Storan and check them out. It should be a good concert.

Lips are silent...

We went to Strand (I think it was called) on friday. Close to Hornstull. Kamera had a showcase gig. I've totally missed their second album. The new one sounds a bit different. I've never seen them live before, but it was not too bad. Me, Rickard and Leo went to a winebar at Slussen. There we hooked up with Johan Kinde. He's very nice. Very funny. Kinda weird to hang out with him. Now I'm just looking forward going to Prague. And a visit at the end of March. Now I need some coffee... I suddenly realized why I've got such a bad headache. I haven't had any coffee for 2 days! That must be it!

Bikini girls with machine guns.

On Feb 4, 2009, Erick Purkhiser died from a pre-existing heart condition. He was 63 years old. He is probably more known as Lux Interior of The Cramps!

The creautre from the black leather lagoon... R.I.P.

Brain scraper death dive

I've seen DIF beat Timrå 4-1, I've had a few beers at Republik, and I've once more got a sore throat. It's a strange world.

So, let's make it even more strange:

Now you know...

No heart...

So the Robert Marlow concert wasn't tip top. But it wasn't bad either. I think you could say it was a 3 of 5. Sugar Bar is a nice place.

Marlow

Look what Bobby just made for me. My own traffic sign!

Now that's nice...

The More you ignore me, the closer I get...

We actually did it. Yes we did. We went to Pet Sounds Bar last night for the monthly music quiz. It's always the same. We go there with the best on intentions, just to find out we don't really have what it takes. However... The first time we went there, we ended up at the bottom. So far, we haven't finished last. Then I think it was 13th place, last time 11th place, and this time, we actually ended up at 10th place! No. There wasn't 10 teams competing. There was actually 38 teams finishing the quiz.

We did really good. Considering the quiz master Andreas was occupied with something less important than the music quiz. We did really well without him! However, it's pretty clear we lack the knowledge of hip-hop.

Still, I'm very proud of what we managed to do last night. Bikini Girls With Machine Guns... We are on the rise!

Tomorrow I'm going to Sugar Bar. Robert Marlow is doing a gig at Club Ultrafoxx. Not a great fan, but I've got nothing better to do. Why not? They do have beer.

We had a few beers here at the office last night. We ended up playing Buzz. I won twice, and I'm currently the champ of the K5 office! I really should get a life...

Only love can break your heart...

Going back from Gothenburg, Börje gave me the latest edition of Q. I found this fenomenal list of break-up country song titles. Just listen to this:

01. I've been flushed from the bathroom of your heart - Johnny Cash
02. Here's a quarter (Call someone who cares) - Travis Tritt
03. She's acting single, I'm drinking doubles - Gary Stewart
04. My wife ran off with my best friend and I sure do miss him - Wayne Carter
05. You're out doing what I'm here doing without - Gene Watson
06. I've got tears in my ears (From lying in on my back in bed while I cry over you) - Homer & Jethro
07. You're the reason our kids are ugly - Loretta Lynn
08. Tequila makes her clothes fall off - Joe Nichols
09. She's got the goldmine (I got the shaft) - Jerry Reed
10 If drinking don't kill me (Her memory will) - George Jones.
